Kick up your feet, sip a glass of wine, and enjoy the view over at the luxury hotel - L'Auberge Del Mar. In the center of one of the cutest little beach towns in Northern San Diego, L’Auberge Del Mar may be exactly what you’re looking for in a relaxing vacation. Even better, they’re pet friendly! So you can bring all your best friends.

The Room

We had a beautiful room with a great view of the ocean, where we enjoyed sipping our complementary Champagne while sitting on the patio. The views themselves could convince anyone to stay here and possibly consider never leaving. We also didn't have very far to go, when we wanted to walk along the beach. The hotel is truly only a few steps away from the water. How perfect.

The room itself was a perfect size, with a king bed and full mini bar. L’Auberge has several options with various price points - from regular guest rooms, to suites, and also rooms with large balconies perfect for hosting some friends and family.

Zybra Beach Cruisers

Take a ride around Del Mar, a full 2 hours is complimentary with the included resort fee! The bikes are super cute and a great way to get around town or enjoy the beautiful ocean breeze.

Hit the Beach

L’Auberge offers a private walking path down to the local beach, as well as complimentary beach gear and a seasonal beach valet. Yes, someone will take you to and from the beach, if you wanted! Super easy to spend a full day at the beach, with all the perfect toys!

Lounge by the Pool

Whether you want to rent a private cabana or just relax on the lounge chairs, we highly recommend laying out by the pool and taking in the beautiful views. They also have a fully stocked bar - we ordered a few drinks with some delicious chips and guac!

Dinner at Adelaide

With beautiful views, a strong wine list, and delicious spins on some classic dishes, we highly recommend having dinner on sight at Adelaide. The service was phenomenal and it was incredibly convenient to wonder up to our rooms after a few glasses of wine!

The Food

Adelaide is L’Auberge’s fine dining restaurant situated on a stunning deck overlooking the Del Mar coast! We thoroughly enjoyed their costal menu with a plethora of seafood, some of our favorites were.

Pacifico Bass Ceviche - jalapeno-lime vinaigrette, cucumber, radish, spiced tortilla chips

Crispy Pacific Octopus - romesco, marianted jicama, black sesame

After these delicious appetizers we dug into this MASSIVE Grilled 45-day Aged Rib Eye for Two. At $100 its not the cheapest option, but it does feed two people very well! it was served with hawaiian salt, herb salad, warm dips adelaide cesar, grilled sourdough, and a umami butter!

We loved the various dipping sauces for the steak, especially the Cippolini Onion. It made for a delicious entree and was phenomenal with a bottle of very reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list!

Our Favorite Spot

Our favorite spot of L’Auberge was relaxing out by the pool! With a beautiful ocean view, this quiet pool features a great deck with comfy chairs, and a full service bar serving up tasty drinks like this Watermelon Margarita, and Chips and Guac. It’s a fantastic way to relax with a good book and soak up the sun!
