Bathroom Neon Sign at Brians24

Brian’s 24 is a staple of the Gaslamp Community serving up late night food and brunch options since 2008. Recently remodelded, Brian’s 24 turns a new page in its book.

Located in the historical St. James Hotel in Gaslamp. Brian’s 24 is a influencer goldmine, with velvet lined green booths, pink walls, with beautiful pop cultural murals created by @hannasmurals. Brian’s 24 has reinvented itself into a fun bougie spot!

The cuisine is quite solid and offers some tasty variety like the Cereal Milk Latte, Tri Tip Eggs Benedict and Vegan Matcha Pancakes. Brian’s 24 hopes to contend with the fierce downtown brunch scene, and the menu and vibe will certainly make its mark here.

The Cuisine

Brian’s 24 is an American diner reimagined to serve a more selective guest. Expect your favorites but with a twist!

For those looking for a classic dining experience we loved the Trip Tip Eggs Benedict, and Stuffed Berry French Toast. These dishes are very well portioned so be sure to arrive hungry. The Eggs Benedict was served with roasted peppers and potatoes, and were well prepared, with perfectly cooked eggs that cracked with the slightest touch.

The Berry French Toast was opulent as it could be, slathered with a cream cheese frosting, and stuffed with a spattering of fresh strawberries and blueberries for a fresh touch!

Vegans and health conciseness folks will find a solid selection of heathier options on Brian’s Menu. We enjoyed the vegan matcha pancakes with homemade coconut blueberry drizzled overtop. These pancakes were well balanced and the matcha paired very well with the blueberries!

Example Menu Items

Chicken + Waffles - $22

Our chicken is perfectly battered + tossed in our spicy honey butter sauce served with our homemade Belgium waffle. Finished off with a house blackberry drizzle

Rolled Cinnamon Bun Pancakes - $14

Cinnabon ain't got nothing on our pancakes. Our fluffy pancakes are rolled with sweet cream cheese + topped with cinnamon sauce

Vegetable Frittata - $14

Bougie eggs for our guests who want an elevated dish. Purple potato, asparagus, + goat cheese pan sautéed with perfectly cooked eggs and finished with our homemade maple mustard sauce. Comes with home fries

Tri Tip Eggs Benedict - $18

Our house roasted tri tip atop fresh Bread & Cie sourdough and finished with our house made hollandaise sauce. Served with home fries

We loved the fantastic selection of bites at Brian’s 24. It’s a solid spot for everyone and all moods!

The Space

Recently remodeled, Brian’s 24 is a photo ready dream!

Being so close to the heart of the party scene, Brian’s 24 caters to the pop culture aware 20 / 30ish folks of San Diego. Be aware that this might not be the place to take grandma, (unless grandma is wild) the Please Dont Do Coke sign, and We Ride at Dawn neon signs are hilarious and we couldn't stop taking photos of this place. The beautiful mural is a great touch and so much nicer than a boring painted wall. We found ourselves constantly looking over it, trying to find more references we recognized.

The Drinks

This is Gaslamp after all, so we must order a cocktail or two! Brian’s 24 boasts a full well stocked bar as well as a craft coffee menu that was very impressive. We very much enjoyed the craft cocktails that showed some serious talent behind the bar. Try the YOLO - $18 with Xicarú Mezcal, Pressed Grapefruit + Lemon, Agave Nectar, +Black Sea Salt. Garnished with a black salt stripe + a grapefruit wheel wheel. Its a well mixed drink with a beautiful display of contrast from the black salt stripe.

The YOLO

The YOLO

Not feeling a cocktail? They have a great selection of coffee and non alcoholic choices! Try the Cereal Killer Latte - $10 with your choice of Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, or Lucky Charms soaked oat milk, with 1 shot espresso, sweet cream, + cereal topping.
