Since 1973, the La Mesa Oktoberfest has been attracting Oktoberfest revelers from across Southern California for 3 days of festive live music, and steins filled to the brim with German & Craft beer, Here is how best to enjoy the festival safely!

Celebrating its 50th year, La Mesa Oktoberfest continues to top its traditions and present Bavarian festivities that San Diegans of all ages can partake in! La Mesa Oktoberfest is the perfect opportunity to create meaningful memories, enjoy the company of friends and family, and come together for an unbeatable weekend in a German paradise in the heart of La Mesa. This year marks a milestone 50th year of the festival and The La Mesa Oktoberfest is celebrating in style by offering Munich-inspired festivities as the quaint streets of the La Mesa Village set the scene for the largest German celebration San Diego has to offer including: 🍺

How To Get There!

As this event continues to be one of the most popular events in town, parking can be tough! So we HIGHLY recommend taking MTS to get to the La Mesa Oktoberfest safely as its so important to not drink and drive! Here are some of the ways you can get there!

The La Mesa Blvd Stop

Park and Ride at one of our transit parking lots for free parking to the La Mesa Oktoberfest. Be sure to load your PRONTO card or app in advance to avoid ticket lines. Remember to tap or scan before every ride!

  • El Cajon Transit Center
    (352 S. Marshall, El Cajon – 469 spaces, 10 minutes to Oktoberfest)

  • Amaya Drive Trolley Station
    (9100 Amaya Drive, La Mesa – 236 spaces, 5 minutes to Oktoberfest)

  • Grossmont Transit Center
    (8601 Fletcher Parkway – 220 spaces, 3 minutes to Oktoberfest)

  • Spring Street Trolley Station
    (4250 Spring Street – 324 spaces, 3 minutes to Oktoberfest)

La Mesa Oktoberfest is just steps away from the La Mesa Blvd Station off the Orange Line.

Fill up your stein, grab a savory German snack and enter the Oktoberfest competitions while busting out your best chicken dance to a variety of live performances on the main stage. Featuring everything from traditional Bavarian and German music, rock bands, pop cover bands and more!

Dackeldorf Dachshund Village

The DACKELDORF DACHSHUND VILLAGE returns to the La Mesa Oktoberfest with much excitement and o’ so much cuteness. Bring your furry friend to the 3-day, Dackeldorf Extravaganza starting Friday, September 29th with the first event starting at 5PM. From Wiener dog races to a fashion show! They will have many activities planned for your pup this year so they can enjoy the La Mesa Oktoberfest as much as you do!

Dachshund Village is open to any breed, so make sure to pack your leash and bring your lovable pooches out to play!
