Staying in Historic Oceanside Hotel

In Partnership with Visit Oceanside

Built in the 1880’s as the towns first hardware store, this building has seen Oceanside turn into a bustling, unique and exciting community of San Diego County! We stayed the weekend at The Brick and explored the five unique food and drink concepts all underneath The Brick’s historic roof!

The historic Brick hotel!

The Hotel

Where Legacy Meets Luxury - The Brick Hotel has stood the test of time, boasting a rich history that stretches back all the way to 1888. Over the years, this architectural gem has undergone various transformations, but its latest incarnation as a luxurious hotel is an experience that no traveler should miss.

Suite 201 Bed

Taking a look around you will find the historic original brick as well as black metal rods, these are the modern retrofitting that allow the brick hotel to keep its old charm but without being a safety concern!

The Suite 201

With multiple room concepts including suites (We stayed in 201) to balcony rooms overlooking downtown Oceanside to standard rooms, The brick hotel has a variety of options to pick from. We enjoyed our suite, where we took full advantage of the extra spacious accommodations, we loved the massive windows, great for people watching and soaking in that Oceanside sun! The bathrooms were large, well appointed, and had several plants, giving the bathroom a fresh vibe!

The centrality of the brick hotel is the best part about this hotel, close to all, its the ideal hotel for those looking to ditch the car for the weekend!

The Food Venues

At The Brick Hotel, you can find FIVE food and drink venues tucked away in this historic building! From cappuccinos, beer gardens, oysters, cocktails and sunsets this is the one stop shop for a foodie hotel!
